The Campaign
What we aim to do…
The Big Event:
The Event The inaugural New York Yacht Club International Women’s Championship will take place September 12–19, 2026, at NYYC Harbour Court in Newport, Rhode Island. Twenty teams were selected from nearly fifty applicants, drawing sailors from Olympic, SailGP, Women’s America’s Cup, offshore, and collegiate backgrounds.
The Boat Racing will be held in the NYYC’s fleet of IC37’s, a powerful one-design keelboat designed by Mark Mills. The platform rewards athleticism, precision, and teamwork, placing the focus on crew performance rather than equipment advantage.
Community Impact:
Come Sail With Us days for women and girls
Local presentations and club events
Social media storytelling and behind-the-scenes access
Shared training opportunities aboard the IC37
Campaign Vision:
While the championship takes place in Newport, the heart of the campaign lives in the Pacific Northwest. Cascadia Sailing trains and develops locally while competing on the global stage, building a program that is both high-performing and deeply connected to its home region. By maintaining a visible and accessible presence in the Pacific Northwest, the team fosters community engagement, inspires the next generation of sailors, and creates meaningful pathways into elite competition. Rooted in collaboration, inclusion, and regional pride, the campaign reflects Cascadia Sailing’s commitment to representing its community with excellence wherever it competes.
